Banks
Three banks in Wadi Musa offer ATM services:

  • Housing Bank for Trade and Finance 
  • Jordan Islamic Bank  
  • Arab Bank

These banks are located in the souk, or downtown. Moneychangers are also available in the area. Hotels change various currencies into Jordanian Dinars.

Several pharmacies can be found in the souk.

Internet Cafes  
Various internet cafes can be found throughout Wadi Mousa. Be advised that due to slower internet connection speeds for the area, downloads can take a long time. Some hotels also offer ADSL and/or wireless services. Internet café service providers include:

Laundry/ Dry Cleaning
There are no self-service laundromats in Wadi Musa. Tourists must rely on hotels for this service.

  • Amra Palace Hotel - offers a dry cleaning service (available to non-guests). The hotel is located on a side street in the souk.

Bakeries
There are two bakeries in the souk area:  

  • Sanabel Bakery - offering freshly baked bread, manakish, and sweets. It is located on the main road coming from the Tourism Street.

Grocery Stores
Many small grocery stores exist in the Wadi Mousa area. The stores offer mostly packaged foods, non-alcoholic beverages, and personal sundries. Two can be found on the Tourism Street, and numerous others in the Souk.  


Vegetable Market
Near the Wadi Mousa Bus Station is a free-standing warehouse building that houses several fruit and vegetable stalls. There is also a store there that sells frozen chicken and fish. The market opens in the morning and closes around 10pm.  


Film Shops
 

  • Rum Studio and Labs - located on the Tourism Street, it sells film and provides basic camera maintenance services.

Shopping
Several shops are available along Tourism Street to purchase souvenirs of various types including kaffiyehs (traditional headdress of Arab men), handicrafts, and postcards. There are also shops located in other parts of Wadi Mousa. The Wadi Musa Ladies Society and The Society for the Development and Rehabilitation of Rural Women both operate inside the Petra Visitors Center.
